This upcoming Heritage Day (24 September 2025), Kruger Station is bringing the vibe with a celebration of culture, flavour, and community spirit.
From 11:00 to 15:30, join us for a day filled with rhythm, colour, and proudly South African heritage.

Entrance is FREE, so come and enjoy a full day of delicious food, lively entertainment, and local crafts on display!
What’s Happening
- Live Performances
Feel the beat with a 30-strong Mchongolo dance crew, live marimba music, traditional choir performances, and cultural showcases throughout the day. - Flavours of Heritage
Taste some traditional favourites like matomane (samp with peanuts), chicken feet, morogo (African spinach), mopani worms and more – accompanied by a food display lovingly prepared by the ladies from our local community. And because no celebration at the Station is complete without them, our iconic Gourmet Boerie Rolls will also be on sale on the day – the perfect bite to enjoy while soaking up the festivities! - Craft & Culture
Browse beautiful handmade work from the Madilika ladies and watch the magic of their beadwork come to life in a live showcase – tradition and creativity at its finest.

Don’t forget: Additional parking is available at the Day Visitor’s area. It’s just a short walk along the tracks, where you’ll be treated to an iconic view of our Grand Ole Lady Locomotive as you make your way up to the Station.

And of course, our Concession GM, Gavin, will kick things off with a warm welcome and wrap up the day in true Station style.
