The Kruger Station, located in Skukuza rest camp, Kruger National Park, boasts a jam-packed calendar of events this school holiday – ideal for the holidaymakers seeking the warmer lowveld weather.
Kicking off the festivities on Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th of July, we welcome back our highly anticipated ‘Wine in the Wild’ event.
Featuring an array of exhibitors, you get to taste some of the best wines in the country right on your
doorstep, in the Kruger. Wineries on show include Knorhoek & Quoin Rock, Avondale,
Tamboerskloof, Benguela Cove & Opstal, Rickety Bridge and AA Badenhorst. Entrance is R150 per
person and includes a beautifully branded wine glass to take home after the event.
Pop in after camp has been set up or after game drive on Friday from 15:00 to 19:00 or treat your
partner or friends to a lovely Saturday afternoon of wine-tasting from 14:00 – 19:00.
Tickets can be purchase on the day, but we urge you to get in on the action early and pre-book using our book now button on our website.
For the little ones we’ll be tickling their tastebuds with our ‘Pizza & Milkshake’ combo for only R98.
They get their pick of milkshake flavour of choice – we have a rainbow of flavours to tantalise their
tastebuds: pink (strawberry), brown (chocolate), blue (bubble-gum), green (lime), yellow (banana),
or white (vanilla), paired with a scrumptious margarita pizza! That should give you some happy
tummies, as they head off to Lil’ Gricer’s train-themed playpark to burn off some of that extra
energy!
The rugby fans need not worry, as we’ll be streaming the upcoming Springbok vs Wales series at the
Station in July. Keep an eye on our social media for the upcoming fixtures, and cheer on the Bokke
with our ‘two double brandies & Coke’ special for R99.
For a convenient ‘Grab ‘n Go’ option, we’ll be offering a variety of artisanal grazing boxes for
purchase at the Station Deli. (We’d hate to see you go hungry whilst exploring on a family game-
drive in the Kruger!)
